Medical Spa Regulatory Update for New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania Hosted by the American Med Spa Association on September 20th in Philadelphia

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 15, 2014

The American Med Spa Association (AmSpa), in partnership with the law firm Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman and Dicker LLP, will co-host a regulatory program for the states of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

The program will provide up-to-date information on the region’s laser and medical spa regulations, insight from successful med spa owners on building a successful practice, and cutting edge information on marketing and branding a medical spa or aesthetic practice.

One highlight of the program will be a roundtable of successful med spa owners entitled “The Secrets of My Success.” This exclusive discussion will allow attendees to hear from some of the most successful med spa and laser center owners on exactly how they built their business. This program is for physicians, medical spa owners/directors and nurses that will include a business and marketing segment for operating a successful medical spa as well as a parallel session for their staff.

“We are thrilled to be hosting this event with our partners at Wilson Elser,” said Alex Thiersch, Founder and Director of AmSpa. “These industry-focused educational events are genuinely needed, both to educate professionals on the legal landscape and to share tips on how to be successful.”

The lack of staff training is a major issue in the med spa industry. Medical spas are different from both traditional spas and from doctor’s offices. Since the non-medical staff is the face of the med spa, they need training even more than some of the physicians and medical staff performing the procedures. This segment of the program is perfect for front desk staff, aestheticians, laser techs and cosmetologists. They will learn ways to help increase their spa’s patient base, how to up-sell product and procedures as well as how to market to increase their revenues.

The main goal of the program, according to Gina Meyer-Shaffer, AmSpa’s Director of Marketing, is to help med spa owners and prospective owners maximize their profits. “We’ve created the most dynamic program available for medical spas,” Gina said. “Attendees will hear from some of the most successful med spa owners around on how they built their practice from the ground up.”

Immediately following the one day program is a two hour networking reception, compliments of Aerolase and Merchant Advocate. Attendees will have a chance to meet with their colleagues, brain storm with other industry professionals and have one on one time with presenters and exhibitors. Breakfast, lunch and beverages and appetizers during the reception are provided as well as raffle items which were donated by some of the exhibitors.
