Brian James
Brian James has almost two decades of experience in the healthcare payer industry. Brian is skilled in developing and implementing business system applications utilizing a diverse array of leading edge computer hardware and software technologies. After attaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, Brian started his career at Arthur Anderson as an application developer, computer systems auditor, and business process consultant working across several industries including Education, Foreign Trade Zone, and Oil and Gas.
Brian then entered the healthcare payer industry and has served in various roles, including Manager of Systems and Network Administration, IT PMO Director, and Information Systems Director for a full-service payer organization. In each of these roles, he was involved in implementing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware, software, network, and telecommunication systems, while closely aligning business needs with technological solutions to consistently improve business performance.
These implementations have included numerous managed care information system implementations and conversions to/from systems such as El Dorado, EZ-CAP, Facets, and the HSP managed care information systems suite. Additionally, Brian has managed and overseen the implementation of clinical care systems such as McKesson’s CCMS, Disease Monitor, and ClearCoverage applications. Brian is passionate about developing innovative, technology-based solutions to solve everyday business problems.
Brian lives in Houston, Texas, and is an active member of the community in which he resides. He volunteers with his Homeowners Association and coaches little league football.
